08 Dec Worldine takes over Ingenico
The mergers of large payment network operators continue: The two French payment service providers (formerly Atos) Worldline and Ingenico merge through takeover. This means that Worldline will bring in the Atos, PaySquare, Equens and SIX-Payment Services SPS units and Ingenico will bring PayOne (consisting of B + S Payone, easycash). The German savings banks still hold 48% (less) of this PayOne. How the providers Ogone (HQ Belgium) and Global Collect (HQ Netherlands), both also formerly Ingenico, will act in the future is still open. Good for our customers: creditPass GmbH is in talks, cooperations and contracts with almost all of the above. The POS business like PayOne alone is of no importance to us at the moment. In addition, we continue to work with their competitors Concardis (Nets, HQ Denmark), Heidelpay and Datatrans (HQ, Switzerland).
For our customers, we carefully ensure that all services run stably in the event of the threat of self-employment by these group units due to a merger struggle or that they can be reliably and transparently taken over by other units in good time.
