17 Nov Real-time transfer from 01.07. up to EUR 100,000 possible
From July 1, 2020, instant payments of up to 100,000 euros can be made with the instant payments. This was announced by the European Payments Council, which is responsible for the standards in payment transactions in the SEPA area. So far, the limit for such a real-time transfer is 15,000 euros per payment. With a conventional transfer, the banks first collect incoming transfer orders and then pass them on in batches to clearing houses for processing. Orders that customers place online are also executed with a time delay by default. With Instant Payments, however, the transfer must be transferred from one account to the other within 10 seconds after entering it in online banking. Advantage: Risk checks no longer have to be carried out, as the payee receives his money immediately and securely.
