08 Dec Payment by smartphone continues to gain in importance – creditPass is further developing its 12companions product
Cashless payment is on the rise in Germany. According to a Forsa survey commissioned by PayPal, 54% of respondents now state that they prefer cashless payment methods.
So far, payment via smartphone has tended to be the exception, but devices continue to gain in importance in all areas of life and 53% of those surveyed also said they were open to new payment methods. So far, no national institute has been able to prevail with a solution or a reliable cooperation. In Sweden, however, Swish was used to prove that national institutes could certainly do something to oppose the dominant American companies, provided they could bring themselves to work together.
As FinTech, we also believe in the future of direct debits, especially after the implementation of instant payments. It can be assumed that payment by telephone will continue to gain in importance in the future and that national systems may also play an important role alongside global players.
creditPass continues to work on new solutions for the B2B and B2C market and would like to continue developing payment via mobile devices in the future. With our product “12companions” we are working together with our partners on the solution for the simple, mobile and immediate payment of tomorrow.
