The first creditPass transactions were launched in 2003 with only two credit agencies, three negative lists and rather rough decision matrices for online merchants. We were the first multi-credit agency platform in Europe with the first individually automated decision engine for each transaction. Since then, creditPass has been continually expanded and systematically updated in phases of 5-7 years. This was done silently, without affecting customers, as the steady growth to over 100 million transactions p.a. had to be designed, pre-tested and implemented in terms of both quality and quantity on the IT side. The global experience in the connection and operation of high-performance systems of our technical operator Interlake has also helped to point out optimization opportunities on the customer side, thus confirming our reputation as the highest-quality specialist provider in the area of multi-currency agencies and DecisionEngine time and again. Influenced by increasing compliance requirements, new possibilities through the optional use of AI and standardized integration of customer-specific systems, we have now prepared “creditPass 5”. The system has been in a realistic test environment since summer 2025.
