We were very pleased to welcome Ms. Kerstin Schreyer (MdL), Chairwoman of the Committee for Economic Affairs, State Development, Energy, Media and Digitalization, to our creditPass for a mutual exchange. Clothes, food, electrical appliances – more and more often we buy consumer goods on the Internet. However, the great advantage of the Internet is also a disadvantage: anonymity. The merchant cannot get a picture of the customer at the time of purchase, making non-payment more likely than in reality.
CreditPassGmbH, which specializes in this area – the processing and securing of online bank transfers – was recently visited by Kerstin Schreyer, Member of the German Parliament. “CreditPass GmbH processes about 100 million online transactions annually,” said Manfred Wolff, managing partner. “Our credit check offers companies a platform for checking the creditworthiness of their customers simply, quickly and cost-effectively. In this way, companies gain security and protect themselves against payment defaults.”
The company, founded in 2003, has its headquarters in Taufkirchen. Wolff: “Only our commercial area, with five employees, is located here. The technical area – our IT staff and our servers – is located in Potsdam.”
“I am pleased that creditPass GmbH, a company that aims to make payments on the Internet as secure as possible, is based in my constituency.” This is the opinion of Kerstin Schreyer, member of the state parliament. “Securing online payments is invaluable for businesses of all types!”
