The market for online applications will reach a record high in 2021. The sales forecast of the industry association Bitkom of 2.9 billion euros for 2021 sees the Corona crisis as one of the reasons. The in-app purchases are a multiple of the actual app purchases. Gamers in particular only pay the most money in the apps. Often also by young people who consciously, unconsciously or through undetected fraud patterns use their parents’ credit cards. From the point of view of creditPass, it is also evident here that a clean payment method such as direct debit would be significantly more transparent, fairer and therefore better. From our point of view, the fact that this is not available suggests the basic commercial mindset of current app billing.
