Thanks to e-commerce and the Internet, mail order business is more vital than ever. The Federal Association of E-Commerce and Mail Order (bevh)<\/strong> is the e-commerce association and thus the industry association of interactive retailers (ie online and mail order retailers). 500 companies currently belong to the bevh. These include mail-order companies with catalog and internet offers, internet pure players, teleshopping companies, pharmacy mail-order companies, sellers on online marketplaces and mail-order companies with a home in stationary retail.<\/p>\n

The industry currently has annual sales of around 49 billion euros in goods alone in the private customer business. Online trade in goods alone accounts for around 80 percent of this. The total annual turnover in business with commercial customers is estimated at at least 8 billion euros.<\/p>\n

In addition to the senders, over 120 well-known service providers are also affiliated with the bevh.<\/p>\n

The bevh represents the industry interests of all members vis-\u00e0-vis the legislature as well as institutions from politics and business.
